there was enough r ain for gar~ens and crops on the dry lands. Since he&#13;
brought no l ive stock wi.t h hir:1, Dad started his flock from nothing by herding sheep on shares and by herding others for pa'.'.r. 11 11&#13;
,n,tfe attended the Harvey School when we could. So:ne of my h alf-brothers and sisters attended for several years and learned :nglish well.&#13;
There were six of them (Crestino, Pedro, Faustine, Camilla, Gregorita&#13;
and Andrea). I only went to sc.i:1001 two winters which was not enough to&#13;
&#13;
learn English very w~ll. 11&#13;

of Pinto beans on the ' era ' and again r an the goats over it. After removing the coa rse straw and ste~s, we winnowed the remaining grain or beans&#13;

Luis and I lived in Telluride for several years while he continuea&#13;
working in the mine, then we came bad: to Ignacioe We never had any&#13;
children of our o,m, but we raised one of Luis 1 neices, Louisa • . Luis&#13;
died after we 1·1ere :::1arried only 14- years _from the blac:k Jung dis.ease~&#13;
I never remarried. For many years I earned by living by doing housework&#13;
for Mrs. Crigler and Hrs .. Aspaas and Nell Marker~,&#13;
This next September 12th Hrs. Harquez will be 85' years old. We hope&#13;
she has many more years of good health to enjoy.&#13;

the home of Virginia Richr.ond. Roll call with mothers day flowers&#13;
was given by the 13 answering roll call. Mothers Day was used as a&#13;
theme throughout the meeting.&#13;
After a business meeting and a game unscrambling names of flowers&#13;
was played. Priz.es were given to the one 1..1h0. had the most correct and&#13;
the one who had the least answers correct.&#13;
